On Friday September 7th 2007 the 94th AeroClaims-Aviation Consulting Group of Miami, Florida was called upon to deploy to Lima Peru as soon as possible to undertake the pre-bid / buy inspection of Boeing 737-500 belonging to the Peruvian Air Force "Gruop 8" Transport Wing of the President of Peru for a Saudi client.
On Sunday September 9th Benny F. Benitez along with staff was outbound from Miami on board American Airlines Flight 917 headed to Lima, Peru. Being fluent in Spanish and having ample experience within Latin America and the Latin American aviation market, Benny and his crew quickly linked up with elements of Grupo 8 in Lima as well as with staff members of the Peruvian agency known as ProInversion who were overseeing the bid process of FAP 356. A detailed visual inspect of both the records and the aircraft was successfully accomplished within two days and all findings were properly reported to the Saudi client. Unfortunately, the aircraft did not sell on the first bid session due to a few administrative and regulatory issues which were identifed by the 94th AeroClaims-Aviation Consulting Group during their inspection. The Peruvian Goverment / ProInversion are in the process of retaining the 94th AeroClaims-Aviation Consulting Group to have them assist and correct the minor problems and also assist in the marketing of the subject aircraft.
The aircraft is being sold as a Presidental campagin promise made by President Alan Garcia to ride the Goverment of an assest originally purchased by the former President Fujimori and thus utlilize the funds generated by the sale of FAP-356 for the creation of a new childrens hospital in Lima. (Further information to follow in the upcoming days)
